Broadcasting is the acts of distributing video and sound using a mass communications medium (usually of the electromagnetic spectrum like radio waves) to a widespread audience. Types of broadcasting include telephone broadcasting, radio broadcasting, television broadcasting, cable radio and cable television broadcasting, director-broadcast satellite and more recently webcasting which utilizes the internet. This can be done for profit such as commercial broadcasting, or public broadcasting via publicly owned networks such and news broadcasts. Also, there is live broadcasting and pre recorder broadcasting to allow correction of errors.
