Having five to six shows annually, including the signature Tomato Art Show in August and Holiday Artisan Show in December, Art & Invention Gallery focuses on inventiveness in fine art, craft and original furniture. Adult and Children Workshops are held throughout the year as an outlet for creative energy. Art AND Invention is always in motion at Garage Mahal! From custom furnishings, metalwork, commercial fixtures and design work to whimsical wooden toys and crafts ... In 2005 and 2006, the Nashville Scene voted Art & Invention Gallery the "#2 Art Gallery" [behind The Frist Museum] AND "Best Neighborhood Event" [for Tomato Art] in Nashville! Meg and Bret are also involved in ARTtrageous, a benefit for Nashville Cares, an AIDS charity. The Gallery has also received accolades from the Southern Foodways Alliance, Travel and Leisure and SPIN Magazines. The Gallery was honored November, 2006 by Southern Living Magazine as one of the top 50 shops in the Southeast!
