For 33 years the JRLC has been operated by Protestant, Catholic, and Jewish faith communities to advance social justice issues before the state legislature. The Islamic Center is the first addition to JRLC since its founding. "We are proving that diverse groups can deliberate and work together," Rusche said. "When we look at the shared wisdom that our faith groups offer, we are on very solid ground when we speak to policy matters and make recommendations."
