Bank of York is a true community bank that was formed on April 11, 1935. We are a locally owned and operated bank and committed to staying that way. Our original location in York, South Carolina, was in the heart of the community that the bank was formed to serve and our main office remains there today. Branch locations were opened in the Bethel - Lake Wylie area in 1985 and Newport in 1990 and our service area now encompasses virtually all of York County. Since its formation, the primary mission of Bank of York has been to provide the very best in customer service while offering all of the business and personal banking products the community needs. Since our ownership and management are local, all decisions are made locally, by the people you know, not by people who live and work somewhere else. All of our deposits are used to make loans in our community also. Our community has seen much growth since Bank of York was formed and we have grown with it. We currently have four locations, three ATM's, a mortgage loan department and our assets have reached over $150 million. We have grown but our commitment to provide superior customer service in every contact we have has not changed. We are proud to be York County's oldest community bank.
