In 1998, a small group of Catholic physicians committed to living the Gospel message founded the Lansing Guild of the Catholic Medical Association. Since then there have been many exciting and productive events and our membership continues to grow. As a growing professional organization, we strive to build the Kingdom of God on earth in many ways. We provide educational conferences and social gatherings for physicians, nurses and other health care workers. We help patients locate Catholic health care professionals who share their moral convictions. We mentor Catholic medical students and support them as they face the challenges of practicing medicine and a secular environment. We speak out to educate the public on moral issues in health care. All of these activities help shape medical practice so that one day every human being will be respected throughout every stage in life. Our voice needs to be heard. I invite you to join Catholic physicians and other health care professionals who share these convictions by joining the Catholic Medical Association at the national and local levels. Your support will help transform today's medical environment to bring about the 'Culture of Life'.
