Dixie Trail Farms Inc., the maker of Grilling Sauces, Marinades and Spices was founded in 1995 by Stephen C. Mayo. Mr. Mayo grew up in rural Eastern North Carolina. By his admission, as a (pudgy) kid, Mr. Mayo enjoyed his food and learned cooking from country cooks who knew what they were doing. Dixie Trail sauces and seasonings have been inspired by these old fashioned cooks. "Dirty kids, dirty clothes on the porch of a dirty hunting cabin is obviously good, clean fun."
