Info
Founded in 1930 by the Canzano family, Acme Printing was originally located in Everett, Massachusetts. The company moved to Medford, MA in 1964, and then to the current 180,000 square foot facility in Wilmington, MA in 1987. The company operated as a privately-held business until April 1998 when Acme was acquired by the Commercial Division of World Color Press. In August 1999, World Color Press merged with Quebecor Printing to form Quebecor World. With both sheet fed and heatset web offset presses, Acme Printing has built a reputation as one of the country's finest commercial printing facilities and cultures. Acme specializes in producing custom-designed, high-quality printed communication projects. Acme Printing's typical work consists of corporate financial and corporate communication documents (e.g., annual reports, company magazines, etc.) as well as product-focused sales literature, such as brochures, catalogs and advertising inserts. The Acme Culture is based on linking digital technology with skilled operators, who approach today's work with traditional craftsmanship attitudes. With years of substantial capital reinvestment, the facilities at Acme represent the latest in technology, especially the Creo computer-to-plate workflow within the extensive in-house Prepress. These assets provide Acme with a powerful competitive edge for delivering quality and value. Acme Printing's positioning as Masters Of Technology-Assisted Craftsmanship reflects the company's dedication to every aspect of it business. With years as part of the creative process, Acme's craftspeople understand and respect the effort that customers invest to create a concept, to gain project approval as well as the stakes involved for bringing every print concept to life and for it to match the client's vision. The Acme Printing family of craftspeople make it right and make it easy. We pursue enduring relationships as the basis for our enduring success and seek to invest in the right combination of people and technology to be the best. Because we work as solution-seekers with our customers, they are completely satisfied start-to-finish with the way we manage their complex projects and with the final quality that we achieve for them. Satisfied customers are our lifeblood. Acme has been fortunate to forge solid relationships with many well-known clients, including: Bermuda Tourism, Bose, Chase Bank, Fidelity Investments, General Electric, GM/Chevrolet & Oldsmobile, Metropolitan Museum of Art, ExxonMobil Oil, Museum of Fine Arts-Boston, Pfizer, Reebok, Tiffany and United Technologies, to name a few. For years, the high caliber of Acme's work has been consistently recognized by respected trade organizations, including the Association of Printing House Craftsmen. Importantly, in October 1998, Acme Printing was selected as the "International Printer Of The Year". In this worldwide competition sponsored by Sappi Fine Paper, Acme's entry was judged as the best out of over 6,000 entries from over 1,300 printers representing 23 countries. Acme Printing employs nearly 220 craftspeople and staff.
