NEFCU continues to support The Center for Developmental Disabilities' Annual Dinner Dance in 2008. NEFCU also was a proud sponsor of the Epilepsy Foundation and their efforts to improve the quality of life for those who live with epilepsy. On February 27, NEFCU was recognized as Child Advocate of the Year by Hi-Hello Child Care Center of Freeport at their Tribute Dinner held at Westbury Manor. Child Advocates who were honored have demonstrated their commitment to improving the lives of children and families on Long Island through their community activities. Throughout 2008, NEFCU has participated in many Molloy College events, such as their Black History Month Luncheon, and their St. Martin de Porres cultural event. NEFCU is pleased to support the Village of Lynbrook's downtown revitalization and beautification programs. NEFCU will be sponsoring a banner in the village to support this effort. Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's mission is to cure blood cancer and improve the quality of life for patients and their families. NEFCU is a proud sponsor of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. NEFCU continues to be a sponsor of the Massapequa Chamber of Commerce's Community Festival this May. ACDS, in its mission to provide lifetime resources for individuals with Down Syndrome continues to be supported by NEFCU. As a part of our growing effort to reach out to the business community, NEFCU is pleased to support the ACIT Executive Breakfast and the Reverend Monsignor Thomas Hartman Humanitarian Luncheon.
