Riggs & Associates, Inc. began in 1987 as Riggs - Norsworthy Land Surveyors, Inc. In 1994 Ralph L. Riggs and wife Lisa became sole stockholders of the corporation. We have enjoyed solid and continual growth during our 13 plus years in business. From a two-person operation in a small basement office we have grown to one of the largest and most respected professional land surveying firms in south central Missouri. The mission of Riggs & Associates is to provide professional land surveying and related services in a timely manner and for a reasonable fee. At Riggs & Associates our most valued asset is our employees. They are resourceful and innovative in response to the many challenging and unique surveying situations they encounter. Our employees are proficient in the use of advanced technological equipment such as GPS (Global Positioning System). All key personnel are members of the Missouri Society of Professional Surveyors and regularly attend continuing education seminars and short-courses. Ralph L. Riggs, PLS, President, is a professional land surveyor in Missouri, Arkansas and Kansas with over 20 years of land surveying experience. He is in is third term as Howell County Surveyor, is a past president of the Missouri Association of County Surveyors, chairs the Land Survey Advisory Committee of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and serves on the board of directors of the Missouri Society of Professional Surveyors. Clifton E. Tuck, PLS, Project Surveyor, is a professional land surveyor in Missouri with over 19 years of land surveying experience in Missouri and Virginia. He is a member of the Missouri Society of Professional Land Surveyors. Ray L. Riggs, Project Manager, has over 18 years of surveying experience in southern Missouri. He is nearing completion of required college coursework to obtain licensure as a Professional Land Surveyor. He is a member of the Missouri Society of Professional Land Surveyors. Chris Webster, Senior CAD Draftsman, has been with Riggs & Associates, Inc. for over 8 years. He oversees all of the production drafting and maintains computer and website operations for the company. He is a member of the Missouri Society of Professional Surveyors. Engineering Riggs & Smith, L.L.C., Surveyors & Engineers: Through our alliance with the engineering firm of Smith & Co., Poplar Bluff, Missouri, we offer complete civil, environmental and sanitary engineering services; subsurface geological engineering and exploration (soil and rock boring) services; concrete, asphalt and soil testing; construction inspection and construction management. A soil and concrete testing laboratory, complete with a soil/rock drilling rig, puts us in the unique position of being able to provide complete civil engineering services with a minimum of outside technical support. Mapping Innovative Management Systems, Inc. is a mapping and software development company offering scanning, raster to vector conversion of large format drawings, including engineering drawings, and custom software development. Ralph Riggs is a principal in the firm. Equipment Riggs & Associates utilizes modern and cost effective office and field equipment including two GPS surveying systems, electronic total stations, data collectors, laser levels and laptop computers. Field crews are equipped with 4x4 survey vehicles and 4x4 all terrain vehicles. Drawings are made in AutoCad 2000 with the ability to electronically transfer drawing files via the internet.
