LightPanel Technologies, LLC was formed in 1995 to develop the unique LightPanelÔ Lamp to be the most energy efficient and reliable lighting technology for emergency applications. Our first units shipped at the beginning of 1997 as retrofit kits for existing exit signs. Over the next ten years we shipped over 100,000 of our unique LightPanelÔ Exit signs to a wide variety of customers,including schools, hospitals, hotels, fire and police departments, manufacturers, municipalities, the US military, and state and federal government agencies (click here for a partial listing). In 2005 the company was forced to shut down its manufacturing operations in the USA due to rising costs and has instead been focusing on licensing its technology to companies world-wide.
