ML Associates, LLC is a trusted professional organization which provides high quality professional financial services to non-profit and political organizations and tax preparation services for individuals, businesses and non-profits. We currently manage over $1M in client assets and are a proud member of the California Political Treasurers' Association, the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau. ML Associates was founded in 2004 by Steven Mele. Mr. Mele served as the Financial Officer for several for-profit small to medium sized companies from 1996 to 2001 when he began providing independent non-profit accounting and political treasury services. Since 2001, Mr. Mele's work has successfully passed audits by government authorities such as the Franchise Tax Board and the San Francisco Ethics Commission as well as several Certified Public Accountants without a single major material finding. Lou Anne Mele founded and manages our tax preparation service. Ms. Mele has over 30 years accounting experience in large multi-national corporations and has run several small businesses. Ms. Mele has been a Certified Tax Preparer for 14 years and is certified to prepare taxes for non-profit corporations, for profit corporations, limited liability companies, general partnerships, self-employed individuals/sole proprietors and individuals. Our tax department also specializes in the unique tax situation of ex-patriot taxpayers living abroad.
