Founded in 1993, NovaFlora is a privately-held biotechnology company focusing on the genetic improvement and commercialization of high-value ornamental plants. For thirteen years NovaFlora laboratories and offices have been located at the University City Science Center Philadelphia. In July 2007 NovaFlora will be relocating to West Grove, PA where it will strengthen and build on its thirteen year collaboration with the Conard-Pyle Co. This site will allow both laboratory research, greenhouse research and field testing to occur in a single location. NovaFlora's research staff comprises PhD and MS scientists with expertise in plant breeding, molecular biology, biochemical analysis, plant transformation and plant tissue culture. NovaFlora markets its products through strategic partners within the US ornamental plant industry.
