VetLife was founded in 1995 when a small group of professionals experienced in the development and marketing of growth-promoting implants met with leading feedyard owners and managers to identify their needs, and then created a new company based on their advice and guidance. VetLife began marketing Ivy Animal Health's growth-promoting implants in 1996 and became its sales and marketing division when Ivy acquired VetLife in 1998. Effective June 29, 2007, Ivy Animal Health. Inc., and its divisions, VetLife, AgSpan and Ivy Natural Solutions, became a wholly owned subsidiary of Elanco Animal Health. This partnership will serve as a strategic collaboration, creating synergies across existing platforms, in addition to current and future research efforts. Today, VetLife is a leader in important feedlot management issues and has introduced a number of programs and services that enhance customer profitability, including the Benchmark® Performance Program, V•Net® Implant Management System, Zero Defect Implant (ZDI) training and services and Component® with Tylan®. Component with Tylan is unique to the implant industry. It's a patented combination of a growth implant with Tylan (tylosin tartrate), a localized antibacterial. Component with Tylan implants improve the health of every implant site thereby allowing maximum implant performance.
