Meet Our Staff:Tom Gibbons is the President and an owner of Wachusett Mortgage. Prior to helping start Wachusett Mortgage in 1992, Tom worked in the banking industry for many years where he was responsible for the origination and servicing of mortgage loans as well as the sale of mortgage loans into the Secondary Mortgage Market. Tom is a life-long resident of Clinton, MA. He is a graduate of St. John's High School, Shrewsbury, and the University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, Indiana with a BBA in Finance. Tom works with the Admissions Office of the University of Notre Dame as its Academic Recruiting Coordinator for Worcester County. He is also a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society at his parish in Clinton. Away from the office, Tom is an avid Boston Red Sox fan and likes to follow high school sports. He also enjoys working out at the gym, traveling, especially to sites of historical significance and comedy and drama shows and movies. Evelyn Salmon is Vice President/Treasurer and an owner of Wachusett Mortgage Corporation. Evelyn joined Wachusett Mortgage in 1992. Prior to this she worked at a local savings bank for 14 years where she started as a teller and had various positions in the lending area including her last position as Assitant Vice President/Mortgage Originations Officer. Evelyn has lived in the town of Clinton, MA all her life. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1978. Evelyn has been happily married since 1984. She loves spending time with her dog, Tia Maria, as well as traveling to warm weather places and Cape Cod. Diana Anctil is a Vice President and rounds out the ownership team at Wachusett Mortgage since 1992. She attended the University of Maine at Orono and is a graduate of Babson College, Wellesley, MA. She has worked in the banking/mortgage financing industry since 1983 with a few years off for raising her daughters. Diana hails from Rhode Island and has lived in Leominster, MA with her husband and family since 1982. She enjoys family gatherings, sports talk shows, especially if the topic is the Red Sox or New England Patriots, country music, singing in her church choir and lounging by the pool with a good book. Michele VanVooren is the Senior Mortgage Processor at Wachusett Mortgage joining the company in 1998. She is an automated underwriting submission expert and pays extraordinary attention to detail. Michele has had many educational experiences including travel to Europe and Africa. Michele enjoys gardening, visiting museums and driving her hybrid car. Ron Hopper is a Mortgage Originator with Wachusett Mortgage. Ron owned his own mortgage company before becoming affiliated with WMC in 1996. A former math teacher at Wachusett Regional High School in Holden, MA, Ron holds an undergraduate degree from UMass, Amherst and masters degrees from Worcester State and Clark University. Ron is a long time resident of Hubbardston, MA where he is a member of the Hubbardston Business Association and the Lions Club. Quite the outdoorsman, Ron enjoys deep sea and ice fishing, canoeing and kayaking, snowshoeing and visiting his relatives in the wilds of Canada.
