Coastal Lumber Company offers 11 hardwood species, cypress and Southern yellow pine for distribution to domestic and international markets. With state-of-the-art sawmills, we offer consistent production to provide our customers with a reliable, year-round lumber supply. We produce more than 230 million board feet of hardwood lumber each year. With more than 60 modern dry kilns in operation, we have an annual capacity of 95 million board feet of kiln-dried lumber. We also produce more than 110 million board feet of green and air-dried lumber, and industrial-grade hardwoods for use in the pallet and railroad tie industries. Coastal Lumber Company's hardwood manufacturing facilities are strategically located in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Alabama near the source of the finest hardwoods in the world, the Appalachian region. This region's ideal growing conditions - rainfall, temperature, soil conditions, growing season - produce tight rings and consistent grain patterns and color, and make Appalachian hardwoods the most desirable for a variety of high-end uses including furniture, molding, flooring and cabinetry. Known for their beauty, strength and durability, Appalachian hardwoods set the standard for hardwoods worldwide. Our facilities in North and South Carolina provide the finest Southern yellow pine and cypress specialty products.
