The Kern River Preserve is managed by Audubon California for the National Audubon Society. This sanctuary is 2,987 acres of the largest contiguous riparian forest in California. Home to hundreds of species of native wildlife and plants, the Kern River Preserve has an active education, outreach, and stewardship program.
