Digital Data Security was formed in 1994 incorporated as an LLC in Anniston Alabama. DDS was originally formed as a provider of Computer Systems, Network Systems, Consulting and providing small companies a Support Center. In 1995 DDS was asked to assist an attorney in a settlement case with a major retail chain. This chain had been selling retread tires as new tires to its customers. The information to prove this case was residing on the hard drive of an old point of sale system that the attorney had been able to acquire. Our technicians were able to repair the damaged disks and retrieve the evidence which ultimately helped the attorney to successfully win his case. During the next few years DDS migrated from PC and Network sales to consulting and data recovery, which we do today. Because of economic conditions following the closure of Ft McClellan DDS decided to move it's organization to Ft Leonard Wood, Missouri. In 2002 DDS decided to partner with the High Tech Crime Institute a leader in the training of Law Enforcement Officers nationwide. This marriage of law enforcement experience and data recovery services has allowed us to provide our customers the very best in data recovery services. We currently process data using proven policies established by the Department of Justice and have adopted the processing procedures used by the Illinois State Attorney Generals Office. We use the very best in Forensic Recovery Tools (Forensic Tool Kit from Access Data) and LC-Technologies Forensic Suite. DDS has also teamed up Digital Inquiries a Virginia based forensic recovery company to provide easy access to our services nationwide.
