The Friends of Waterloo Public Library actively strive to strengthen the library by providing funds and volunteers to support the library. Through our projects, we provide children with an educational head start, encourage literacy and foster life-long learning for adults. We're a group the gets things done! Since 1976, the Friends have raised nearly a half-million dollars to enhance the programs and services offered by WPL. We have provided funding for: Print and non-print materials Computers, software and digital camera Shelving and display units Funding assistance for youth programs and special projects such as "Read to Feed" and the Donuthead Cedar Valley Youth Read The Friends also support projects such as the Friends Shop and the Used Book and Magazine sales.
