Info

For almost 20 years, MacWilliams Kirchner Sanders & Partners has worked with progressive organizations, labor unions, Democratic candidates, foundations and issue campaigns. We work with our clients to develop innovative strategies to engage people, produce media that moves people, and place advertising that connects with people. The result: effective communications that help our clients win. We like what we do, and we like the people we work with. We've managed campaigns, run field programs, raised money, and worked with the press. We understand where our clients are coming from - and we're ready to get them where they're going. Matthew works out of our Amherst, Massachusetts bunker that we fondly call "Ice Station Zebra." He founded MKS&P seventeen years ago, and has built it into one of the leading strategic media firms for candidates, initiatives, unions, causes, foundations and progressive organizations in the United States. Under Matthew's leadership, MKS&P has won campaigns in more than 30 states and more than 100 national advertising and communications awards. Prior to founding the firm, Matthew authored and then updated the original series of campaign "how to" manuals for the DNC, served as Deputy Campaign Manager for Walter Mondale for President, and published The Polling Report. Campaigns & Elections Magazine dubbed him a "Media Wizard" for his work on winning campaigns during the 1994 elections - that as you might remember, were not so kind to some Democrats who did not have the good fortune of working with Matthew. Known for his quick wit, Don enjoys the solitude of the editing studios at MKS&P where he produces award winning - and more importantly election winning advertising for our clients. During his twelve years at the firm, Don has developed, produced and edited more political, initiative and advocacy advertising than any other creative director in politics. His documentary and advertising work has won awards from the Houston International Film Festival, Chicago InterCom, Columbus International Film and Video Festival, American CINE Awards, Media and Methods Magazine and the American Bar Association. Don's creative skills and thorough knowledge of the latest production techniques have put MKS&P at the forefront of communications year after year. Mary Erin comes from Vacation Land - the beautiful state of Maine where she worked as a field organizer on a U.S. Senate campaign in 2002. Since joining MKS&P in 2003, Mary Erin has been responsible for placing and tracking millions of dollars of television, radio, cable, Internet and print advertising all over the country. When she's not scouring media buys looking to make the most of our clients advertising dollars, you'll find her gallivanting about DC in Adams Morgan, Columbia Heights or the U St Corridor. Mary Erin graduated from Simmons College in Boston with a double-major in Political Science and Communications. Christine is the wonderful voice you hear when you call us at MKS&P. In addition to handling phones, she tracks hundreds of newspaper and news sites daily, keeping us all up to date on the latest news. When Christine is not working, you might find her out on the banks of the Chesapeake Bay with a fishing rod and her husband Paul. Linda seems to do everything here at MKS&P all the while handling the accurate and timely distribution of millions of dollars of media funds as well as client invoicing and posting of payments. Prior to joining the firm, she owned her own business and was the accounting manager for a large catering company. Not only can Kevin balance a checkbook, but he is a seasoned policy and media strategist with an extensive background in environmental, corporate, issue advocacy, and ballot initiative campaigns. He has shared in more than twenty national awards for television, radio, print and online advertising in his nine years with the firm. Kevin came to MKS&P from Earthjustice where he served as the Vice President for Policy, Legislation and Communications. He also spent more than five years on Capitol Hill, including stints with the House Agriculture and Interior Committees. As a graduate of Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, Lori is not at all happy that George W. Bush wants his presidential library on her campus. Aside from her love of legal minutiae, Lori is MKS&P's resident technology expert. She recently spearheaded a multi-layered text messaging, Internet, field, and cable advertising campaign for the Coalition for Progress that won the top prize for an Internet and New Technology campaign at the 2007 Pollie Awards. Lori has also worked with Women's Voices, Women Vote, SEIU, the American Federation of Government Employees, and Compare Decide Vote, a national youth voter campaign. She has been instrumental in reelecting our congressional clients that include Congressmen Brian Baird and Ron Kind. Proud of her Boomer Sooner roots, Lori returned to Oklahoma to serve as a press secretary for a statewide ballot initiative to fight anti-union forces. Don't let Erica's southern charm fool you - she's an aggressive and tough campaigner, just ask Ralph Reed. Erica comes from a background in public opinion research and communications strategy. Prior to joining MKS&P, Erica served as research analyst and field director at Lake Research Partners working on a range of issues including reproductive choice, environment, education and women's health. She has also worked as a communications specialist for the Campaign for America's Wilderness and as campaign manager for North Carolina State House Majority Leader Phil Baddour's reelection campaign in 2002. Erica holds a B.A. in Communications from Elon University. As a Washington, DC native Kelley grew up in the heart of the nation's political center. At MKS&P, Kelley works to ensure our clients make the most of their advertising budget strategically placing millions of dollars in television, radio, cable, Internet and print advertising. Prior to joining the firm, she interned in the Senate Press Photographer's Gallery, the Department of Housing and Urban Development and worked as an Analyst for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. She graduated from George Mason University with a major in Communications and Journalism.
