The D.C. session of the Pontifical John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family, located on the campus of Catholic University of America, awards theological, ecclesiastical degrees: MTS, STL, STD; and also a PhD, with a specialization in Person, Marriage, and Family. As a canonically recognized ecclesiastical faculty, the Institute is one of seven institutions in the United States that grant degrees by the authority of the Holy See.
