Decision Research is a Democratic national public opinion research firm, with offices in Washington, D.C. and San Diego, California. The firm, which was founded in 1984, is experienced in all phases of political survey research and has conducted research for political clients in 41 states throughout the country. Decision Research has extensive experience in polling for legislative caucuses, highly competitive individual candidate elections, and local and statewide initiative campaigns. Over the past 21 years, we have established a record for taking on the tough races. We have worked on races as small as city council races, and on major statewide races. We have the premier record on ballot measures, having won more than three out of four statewide measures, across a dozen states, in which we have polled. These statewide and local ballot measures, which cut across issues in the environment, civil rights, campaign reform, union issues, land use, telecommunications policy, education, transportation, and a host of other issues, provide us with a deep policy background, which informs our approach to the issues facing the nation. From our research for the largest teachers union, for example, the California Teachers Association, has emerged many of the national cutting edge themes in education reform.
