At Happy Days Dream Cars we are committed to bringing you only the finest of vintage, classic, muscle cars and street rods available-period. We appreciate the heartfelt support you have given us over the years so we can continue to comb the nation sifting out the best cars possible and making them available to you. In our recent travels, we were blessed to obtain one of the rarest collectible automobiles in the world! The car we are excited to describe to you is a 1931 Studebaker 54R Roadster. For starters, it is likely only 1 of 6 models known to exist in the world! Three are thought to be restored and this one, having received 3 recent National Awards, including the VMCCAs Gold Award, Best of Pre-War at Studebakers International Meet in 2003, and AACAs Grand National Award in 2005, is in a category of its own. As a matter of fact, of those that are speculated to exist, this is the only one that is known to be up for public offering! This car boasts a 70 Horsepower, 205 Cubic Inch, L-Head inline Six Cylinder Engine with a Three Speed Synchromesh Transmission, Four Leaf Springs with Semi-Floating Rear Axle and Bendix External Expanding Four-Wheel Mechanical Brakes. This car, weighing only 2,700 pounds, was the lighest Studebaker built in 1931, resulting in ample performance for the new model. Standard equipment on the Series 54 Roadster included a Speedometer, Gas Gauge, Thermometer Ignition Lock, Widescreen Wipers, Rear Tail Light and Stop Light. Some changes for 1931 included a larger Radiator Cap on the new Vee-Shaped Radiator, while maintaining its round headlights and distinctive Dual Bar Chrome Bumper. This award winning car has been completely restored from the ground up. The paint, interior, cloth top, and side curtains, are clearly in concourse condition. The exterior , painted in a beautiful Two-Tone Dove Gray and Black, is further detailed with black and red pin striping and beltlines. Black Leather interior completes the well-appointed interior and the interior remains in equally impressive condition. The engine is overall condition of this classic collectible-superb. Additional amenities this car features are Rear View Mirror, Rear Trunk Rack, Removable Storage Trunk, and Dual Rumble Seat. Tumultuous times in 1931, America enduring a crippling depression, it is amazing a car of this calibar would even be produced. Equally impressive - this car has survived 75 years since then and just look at it! Folks, we are not just describing a automobile here we are describing an important icon of innovative automotive history and art. *Get Ready to Rumble!
