Civitas Architects & Planners LLP
Info
CIVITAS Architects & Planners is a full service architectural and planning practice. Established as Abacus Architects & Planners in Boston in 1989, the firm opened a second office in Wareham, MA, in 1994 under the oversight of Helen Bush Sittler, AIA, and Jane Duff Gleason, AIA. In January 2002, the Wareham office established a separate identity as CIVITAS Architects & Planners LLP. Through creative problem solving, comprehensive project management, and clear communication, the partners have received recognition in both private and public sector work. The firm is experienced in the complexities of municipal projects and the specific requirements of administering public bidding procedures, and in renovation, restoration, and new construction projects. Planning work with communities and community groups continues to enrich the work of the firm. The CIVITAS principals and staff are committed to a philosophy of excellence and affordability in design, to innovative design solutions, and to strengthening community through their architectural and planning work. The firm adheres to the principle of strong project management, directing and coordinating all work prepared by the architectural and consulting technical teams assembled for each project. At CIVITAS Architects & Planners, the Principal-In-Charge serves as the continuous link between the owner and the project team.
