The South Carolina Artisans Center in Walterboro is the official folk art and fine craft center for the state. Housed in a restored Victorian cottage, the Center provides a showcase and market for the handcrafted work of over 300 of the state's leading artists. The Center offers educational and interpretive displays of Southern folklife. Its mission is to enhance the appreciation and understanding of the rich cultural heritage of South Carolina.
