Westaff, Inc. provide staffing services in suburban and rural markets (secondary markets), as well as in the downtown areas of certain major urban centers (primary markets) in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand. The Company offers a range of staffing solutions, including permanent placement, replacement, supplemental and on-site temporary programs to businesses and government agencies. The four segments of the Company are Domestic Business Services, Australia, United Kingdom, and New Zealand. Domestic Business Services provides a variety of staffing services, primarily in clerical and light industrial positions, through a network of Company-owned and franchise agent offices located in 45 United States states. In January 2006, the Company acquired certain assets of Peggy Fruhwirth Enterprises, Inc. In March 2008, Westaff, Inc. announced that it has completed the sale of its United Kingdom operations (Westaff UK, Ltd.).
