PocketiNet was born out of necessity, when PocketiNet was founded in 2000 there were no viable broadband options available in the Walla Walla marketplace. The only options available to small businesses and home offices were very expensive T1 lines, which were out of the price range of the all but the largest companies. It was in this way that PocketiNet found its niche. We started out by aggregating usage from our broadband customers onto T1 links of our own, migrating in 2001 to a full DS3 system which allowed us to continue expanding our customer base. Today PocketiNet has transit capacity equivalent to 866 T1 lines and provides IP bandwidth to end users at up to 155 mbit/sec throughout our service area. We believe that having a high powered network combined with local support can provide our customers with a superior service option. In fact it is this idea of superior service which PocketiNet fully embraces by offering high reliability guarantees on virtually all of our products. PocketiNet Communications is a subsidiary of Columbia Ventures Corporation, out of Vancouver, Wa., a telecommunications investment company.
