Erica Silbernagel, D.O. started her education in nutrition and even though she loved it, she didn't feel like being a Dietician was her calling. After volunteering at a children's orphanage in Trinidad and Tobago, she found herself drawn to medicine. Dr. Silbernagel has received a large number of honors and awards for her work in medicine including the Rural Medicine Education Pathways Scholarship, the Iowa Chapter of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians Award and the Des Moines University Family Medicine Discipline Award.
