PAQ Services operates the eDOT Skills Project and SalaryExpert under an Agreement with ERI Economic Research Institute, Inc. As of 2002, ERI Economic Research Institute became deeply committed to the "saving" of the Dictionary of Occupational Titles structure and construct in America, the "language of work" that is still used today in a dozen countries. PAQ utilizes a variety of approaches to gather data about the characteristics of modern jobs (including Internet technology). Nothing, however, will ever surpass the work of a trained job analyst, on-site, creating an analysis that is used not for theory, but actually applied in important organizational hiring, compensating, training and planning decisions. In this era of "competencies" in which organizations blend tasks, skills, and talents required within mission statements, the behaviorally based PAQ approach is more useful than ever.
