The Penn State College of Education serves approximately 2,800 undergraduate and 1,200 graduate students each year. The College prepares K-12 teachers in 21 different specialty areas. The U.S. News & World Report has ranked six of the College's graduate programs in the top 10 nationally, with many others in the top 25. The College is known nationally for its education research and outreach, housing such centers as the Center for the Study of Higher Education, the Center for Science and the Schools, the Mid-Atlantic Center for Mathematics Teaching and Learning, and the Mid-Atlantic Regional Education Laboratory.
