The Fadler Company was founded in 1913 as a produce company by LF Fadler in Pittsburgh, Kansas. It grew and prospered through the decades, including the great depression and WWII, to become the dominate produce company in Oklahoma and Southern Kansas. In the late 1950's the company added foodservice items to its product mix and became a broadline foodservice distributor. In 1975 Fadler was acquired by The Hale Halsell Company, a major retail grocery distributor. Fadler continued to operate successfully through the years and in 2004 was sold to Southwest Food Distributors, L.L.C. and does business as The Fadler Company. Since acquiring Fadler, SFD has also acquired Lamers Distributing Co., Oklahoma Beef and Provision, China D and Afam Wholesale. Lamers Distribution was an independently owned foodservice company specializing in large volume school and institutional products. Oklahoma Beef and Provision was a USDA inspected fresh meat processor serving the eastern half of Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas. A new meat production plant meeting all current federal standards for USDA qualification has been built and is in daily operation. Afam Wholesale was a Master Distributor for Godfather's Pizza restaurants in 5 states in addition to serving many independently owned pizza restaurants. China D was a foodservice distributor focusing on the Asian restaurant market. All of these companies have been integrated into The Fadler Company and continue to serve their customers. Our 90,000 square foot facility in Tulsa includes 25,000 sq. ft. of frozen storage and 20,000 sq. ft. of refrigerated spaces held at different temperature levels. We service the state of Oklahoma, Northwest Arkansas and Southeast Kansas. Fadler's Market, a cash and carry, foodservice market open to the public, is open daily in Tulsa. 2,000 foodservice items are stocked in our Tulsa Market with the entire warehouse inventory available to our cash and carry customers.
