Info
John "Chuck" Hollingsworth, P.E. and Frances L. Hollingsworth founded Environmental Engineering Consultants (EEC) on March 17th, 1987. Mr. Hollingsworth's vision was to provide quality environmental engineering services to the region. Hazardous Waste Consulting and Wastewater Engineering were the main focus of the company at start-up. In August 1989, EEC added staff to oversee the burgeoning Underground Storage Tank problem. EEC has managed UST projects for large corporations and for many Military Installations and the Environmental Services Department also does Environmental Assessments of Real Property, Risk Assessment Modeling, and design and operation of Landfill Gas Mitigation Systems. In November 1995, Mr. Ryan Bale, PE joined the company to oversee the Land Development and Site Engineering Department for EEC in Tucson. Mr. Bale brought 20+ years of private and municipal experience to the team. He also manages the civil/survey division and provides engineering services to many of the country's largest homebuilders. In September 1996, Mr. James Dean, RLS joined the company to oversee the Survey Group. In February 1997, Mr. Craig Allison, PE, RLS joined the company to oversee the Public Works and Transportation Department for EEC in Tucson. Mr. Allison has extensive experience in Highway design for Cities, Counties, and the Dept of Transportation. The transportation department has employed the Microstation and Geopak platform to produce engineering drawings. Also in 1997, EEC purchased the assets of McLaughlin Kmetty Engineers in Phoenix, Arizona. This acquisition provided for a change in direction for the Phoenix office. The Phoenix office now provides a full range of civil engineering, urban planning and environmental services. EEC then changed its business name to Engineering and Environmental Consultants, Inc. as the civil engineering side of the company continued to grow. In 2003, EEC acquired WFM, Inc., a Flagstaff-based civil and survey firm. Mr. Bill Carroll, PE joined the company in 2004 and heads up the Planning Department, working alongside Ryan Bale and the Land Development and Survey staff. Bill has over 28 years of experience at all stages of residential, commercial, industrial, retail, and recreational developments including master planned and golf course communities. Each year since its founding, EEC has grown by developing opportunities for its employees through diversification and by growing at a rate that we can successfully staff and manage.
