Desert Light Photography was founded in Tucson in 1994 to provide professional photographic services for Tucson and Southern Arizona. This was the realization of a dream long held by president and chief photographer, Mary Kay Stein. Mary Kay's passion began at the young age of 8 years when she bought her first cameraâ€"a Brownie Box Cameraâ€"for 25 cents. Later, she earned a degree in Journalism, with a minor in Photojournalism, from the University of Kansas. Mary Kay's work has appeared in the Arizona Daily Star, Tucson Lifestyle Magazine, Smithsonian and the Journal of the American Medical Writers Association among others. Customers appreciate Desert Light's artistic and technical abilities. The company was one of the first in Southern Arizona to embrace the use of professional digital photography, and to provide on-site laboratory-quality printing. Desert Light is a member of the Professional Photographers of America, the Professional Photographers of Arizona, and the International Association of Professional Events Photographers.
