Maccio Physical Therapy's treatment approach to musculoskeletal injuries is based on the McKenzie method and ergonomic principles. Maccio Physical Therapy is certified in the McKenzie Method and is the only facility in this area with a Diplomate in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (Dip. MDT). Evaluation and treatment is based on providing mechanical diagnosis and therapy intervention with emphasis on prevention and self-management. Individualized one on one treatment is rendered and consistently evaluated by the same physical therapist in order to attain superior results and ensure continuity in patient care. Joseph Maccio, MA, PT, Dip., MDT owner offers over 25 years experience as a physical therapist and holds a M.A. in Ergonomics and Occupational Biomechanics. He is a Diplomat in mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (Dip. MDT), recognized as the highest level of clinical expertise in the McKenzie Institute International. There are currently only 110 Diplomats in the US and 400 Diplomats worldwide.
