Bob Gold established his agency with the goal of helping clients develop business-to-business relations with cable and technology companies. Today, BG&A has expanded its breadth of industry expertise to include Cable TV, Telephony, E-commerce, Software, and Real Estate. His business philosophy: to use public relations as a business development tool, to build strong relationships with existing clients and to help them achieve better penetration in new markets. With over 20 years' experience in public relations and marketing, Bob Gold has launched or rebranded numerous web-based start-ups, cable networks and helped further strategic business plans for countless companies and associations. He has also raised over a million dollars for charities and taught hundreds of students about public relations. Today he serves on the Board of Directors for the Los Angeles Alzheimer's Association, Cable Positive, the Trust for Public Lands and the Rolling Hills Preparatory School. Prior to founding Bob Gold & Associates, Gold served as executive vice president for The Bohle Company, a Los Angeles-based public relations firm where he managed a diverse group of clients in high-technology, multimedia and the Internet. Earlier, Bob served as vice president for marketing and communications at Prime Sports, where he oversaw all advertising, marketing, media relations, public affairs and charitable giving for the Los Angeles based regional sports network (today called "Fox Sports West"). Previously Gold served as head of West Coast affiliate public relations for Home Box Office. He entered the cable television field in 1981 when he joined Cable Health Network, currently Lifetime, as a public relations manager.
