About Washburn: The Washburn Ichabods, the preseason pick to win the Mid-American Athletic Association, began the season ranked 5th in the nation and are currently ranked 9th in the latest poll. Washburn is 8-1 on the season suffering their only loss of the year on Dec. 5 at home against Rockhurst (Mo.). Washburn, which has played eight of their nine games at home, are averaging a robust 93.4 ppg. Leading the way is preseason honorable mention All-America Travis Robbins, who is pouring in 27.6 ppg, grabbing a team-high 12.2 rpg and shooting 64.4 percent from the field. Karlton Mims has a team-high 16 three-pointers and is second on the team in scoring with 13.8 ppg. Washburn, who advanced to the 2001 NCAA Elite Eight along with Southwest Minnesota State, finished 27-5 last season winning the MIAA championship and advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
