CF Professional, Inc. was founded in 1989 by Gary Gruss, by opening its first office in Tiffin. The second office was opened in 1993 in Marion, and the third in 1995 in Richwood. Mr. Gruss sold the Marion and Richwood offices in 1998 and opened the fourth office in Findlay. CFP purchased a new building in 1999 and consolidated the Tiffin and Findlay offices. In the beginning, CF Professional, Inc. provided Computer and Financial services, thus the name (CF). We sold computer hardware and software, did custom computer programming and helped businesses convert their manual accounting records to a computerized system. We provided payroll and tax preparation services at a variety of levels. As the computer industry boomed, and changed rapidly, it was difficult to keep qualified employees and keep up with the changes. It was decided to stop taking new computer clients and concentrate on our financial services only. In 1993 Gary's father, Bob Gruss, retired from the Internal Revenue Service. He had over 30 years of service, but was still too young to retire completely. Gary had a growing business, so Bob came to work with Gary. They worked together with the staff of CFP to create a large satisfied client base of accounting and tax clients. Our staff has grown over the years and we currently have six highly qualified individuals serving our clients with confidence. Bob past away in 2002 and he is greatly missed by family, staff, and clients. In order to offer complete financial services, Gary decided to obtain insurance and investment licenses. This allows him to consult with clients on various financial products to help with all financial planning processes. In order to have these licenses you must have a broker-dealer and you are regulated by the NASD and the SIPC. Gary is a registered representative with Questar Capital Corporation. CF Professional Inc. is independent of Questar Capital Corporation. In 1999, the new building at 132 North State Route 101 was purchased. This building is 2,400 square feet, handicap accessible, and has plenty of parking. It also gives us plenty of room for growth with almost an acre of land for expansion. In 2000, Gary formed an association with The Tiffin Saint Joseph Federal Credit Union. This allowed members of the credit union to purchase Mutual Funds, Annuities, Stocks, Bonds and Insurance products through Gary and Questar Capital Corporation.
