Gulf Equipment Corporation (GEC) is a diversified general contractor specializing in tower site construction, site development and civil infrastructure. GEC was established in 1984 by L. W. Ramsay, Jr. We started as a civil contractor performing road construction, site preparation, and foundation installation for wireless telecommunication towers. As the cellular industry evolved, so did GEC, adding the necessary services that allowed us to become a turn-key tower contractor providing more services to our wireless customers. Over our 22 year work history, we have been involved in most of the major cellular build-outs in the Southeastern United States. In 2001, GEC expanded our company by adding a division that specializes in road and utility work. Over the past six years we have grown and established ourselves as a viable presence on the Alabama/Mississippi Gulf Coast and the Florida Panhandle. Our projects include private subdivision development, commercial site work, utility and road construction. GEC is properly insured, licensed and bonded to work throughout the Southeast.
