Description of University Animal Hospital

The University Animal Hospital, located in Tempe, Arizona was established in 1962. It is the second oldest veterinary practice in the entire east valley. The original hospital has since grown from two veterinarians and a staff of five, to nine veterinarians and a staff of 80. The hospital moved to a new building in 1996 which was specifically designed and constructed to facilitate better care of small animals. This new facility is more than five times the size of our previous location. At 13,224 square feet, our new hospital easily accomodates our doctors, support staff, and our many clients. In our boarding facility we have 157 dog suites (indoor & outdoor) and 48 cat condos (indoor) available for owners to entrust their pets with us when they are away. Our new facility won a national award from the Veterinary Economics Hospital Design Competition. Inside, our clients and their pets feel at home in the large reception area. We also have a childrens play area with toys and games to keep the little ones occupied. Our waiting area has low dividing walls between seating areas to offer pets individual privacy while waiting. University Animal Hospital is a complete small animal veterinary facility and a full-service boarding facility. We offer many important specialty services such as Laser Surgery, Endoscopy, X-Ray, Dentistry, Ultrasound, and EKG. We also have two exotic/reptile doctors on staff. We wish to thank all who have supported us over the years and worked with us to make this possible.
