Home Construction Consulting, LLC (HCC) was established in 1990 as a home building and remodeling company by John Zerega, a South Carolina licensed homebuilder, general contractor and remodeler. Background: Prior to 1990 John worked for large companies in many large Project Management assignments that required planning, organizing, constructing and managing new start up facilities (industrial and commercial), personnel and programs. During our first 10 years building homes, remodeling projects of all sizes and performing Construction Consultant services, we used a "hands on" approach with our customers, trade contractors and suppliers to learn how to most effectively manage and control the building process. We wrote dozens of informative documents based on our real life experience dealing with customers, suppliers and trade contractors; and started developing comprehensive Excel spreadsheets to help manage all our job costs and activities with greater efficiency. We soon realized the limitation of row and column spreadsheets, and searched for the right people to help convert our software ideas into a stand alone, database driven software that would have much greater capabilities. In 1999 we began developing our current software products in Visual Basic with Access databases in collaboration with ISS (Industry Specific Software) in Greenville, SC who has been selling accounting and job management software for the construction industry and related trades since 1985. Note: our software editions integrate with ISS software. HCC is focused on and committed to designing, marketing, and supporting a family of Construction Project Management software products that serve all types of building professionals in many construction industries; and serve the Owner-builder who is managing one home building or major remodeling project. We have customers in virtually every State in the US and in many foreign countries.
