With 25 years of experience and multiple board certifications, Jawan Ayer MD provides research-based care in a patient-centered environment. After years of treating cancer and blood disease, Dr. Ayer turned her focus to prevention of these diseases. Inspired by her own weight loss and wellness journey, Dr. Ayer has made it her mission to reduce the burdens of overweight and obesity and obesity related diseases. By instituting lifestyle changes that prevent and alleviate obesity and metabolic disease, Dr. Ayer attempts to, "pull out disease at the root." Dr. Ayer maintains board certification in internal medicine, oncology, and obesity medicine. She has also studied integrative medicine at the Andrew Weill School of integrative medicine. She also is a student of Lifestyle Medicine.
