Celotex Corporation was founded in 1921 by Bror G. Dahlberg. Dahlberg and a group of technicians developed a product made from Bagasse cane fiber, and found it ideal for a sturdy, structurally strong fiber board. They called the new product "Celotex."The first factory was established outside of New Orleans, where during August 1921, "The Largest Board in the World" was produced.
