HDO is a leading provider of plastic cards, card printing, magnetic/vending stripe encoding, identification (ID) cards and ID related software and supplies. HDO Card Systems was formed in 2002 by a team led by Bill Norwood (see picture), former vice chairman of higher education vendor, CyberMark, and founder of the FSUCard program and Card Application Technology Center at Florida State University. HDO was originally established to provide continuing service and support to the customers impacted by the sale of CyberMark and its exit from the higher ed market. Mr. Norwood, along with a team of former CyberMark employees and other industry veterans, formed HDO to provide campus-focused card services, consulting, transaction processing, and application development. HDO markets and sells an industry leading stored value card program, IDFunds, to insitutions of higher education. This unique product offering frees colleges from the traditional banking relationship while providing an excellent source for card program revenue. Best of all, students avoid the hassle of qualifying for a traditional bank account and are not at risk of overdrafting their account or overrunning a credit card limit.
