Excellence in Christian education is the driving force at Cornerstone Christian Academy. Cornerstone, founded in 2003, will add 6th and 7th grade to its program for the 2009/2010 school year. This addition expands Cornerstone's offerings to include a full preschool (beginning at age 2), a complete elementary program (Bridge-Kindergarten through 5th grade) and a commitment to a complete middle school program (6th through 8th grade) by the fall of 2010. The Academy's expansion comes in response to area parents' desires to place their children in a safer, smaller and biblically-based educational environment that aims to reach beyond academics alone. The Academy maintains a low student/teacher ratio allowing for individualized attention and greater potential for learning. Cornerstone's advanced Christian curriculum taught by expert Christian teachers is enriched with music, art, Spanish and physical education. Students in PreK 4s, Elementary and Middle School enjoy a library trip once a week with our certified librarian. All students participate in daily chapel and Bible lessons. Housed within the First Colony Church of Christ in the growing heart of Sugar Land, Texas, Cornerstone is easily accessed from Highway 59. The state-of-the-art facilities support a full program complete with a chapel, gymnasium, library, commercial kitchen and mobile Apple computer lab.
