Obici Hospital, 138-bed state-of-the-art facility, is located on Godwin Boulevard in Suffolk. Opened in April 2002, the new facility continues a 50-year tradition of providing residents of Suffolk and Western Tidewater with patient-centered care in an environment that focuses on healing. The hospital is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care and offers a wide range of inpatient and outpatient care and treatment services. Hospital departments include medical, surgical, intensive care, physical rehabilitation, neurological, obstetrical, oncology, pediatric, and behavioral medicine departments. The hospital is also home to an array of sophisticated diagnostic services including a full range of diagnostic cardiac testing, a sleep disorders center, MRI, and other diagnostic services. Obici Hospital is one of a select group of facilities to offer digital mammography and is the only hospital in the region to offer women ImageChecker technology to read their mammograms. The Women's Center provides mothers and newborns with obstetrical, gynecological and newborn care in a warm and nurturing environment. The hospital's cancer center provides comprehensive services including radiation therapy. Obici Hospital also offers educational programs, supports groups and classes both in the hospital and in the community.
