Info

Thom Tech provided Systems Engineering support to the government through analyzing technical problems at the project level and recommending/developing solutions compliant with Defense Infrastructure/Common Operating Environment (DII/COE) and AFMC Data Depot architectures, guidelines and standards. We provided assurance of the compatibility, interoperability, and integration of all functional and physical interfaces from all providers as well as assured them that the system definition and design reflected the true requirements. All documentation issued by the contractor and comments made thereto were under configuration management control to verify completeness and adherence to standards that are designed to provide for Chief Financial Officer (CFO) compliance. Thom Tech provided financial analysis for mapping the AFMC financial data from legacy systems to the applicable DMAPS system to include the Defense Industrial Fund Management System (DIFMS) software. Test processes were designed and data was integrated into the fielded system. Assistance was provided in preparing for the System Integration Test (SIT), the Site Acceptance Test (SAT), the related Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs), and the creation of related testing reports. Thom Tech was assigned as test lead for Phase I of the DMAPS program. Thom Tech provided assistance to AFMC Logistics directorate to develop, prepare, and coordinate ICDs required to document interfaces between DMAPS, AFMC legacy systems, Non-AFMC related systems, the AFMC Data Depot (Q302), and the AFMC Data Mart (Q303). Prepared and presented information pertinent to all of the input and output interfaces, first and second generation, for the DMAPS suite of systems. Thom Tech provided support to the AFMC community in utilizing a process model to document and update the functional capabilities of both the old and new business processes. This was accomplished in a real-time and on-line atmosphere. Thom Tech assisted in reporting on program financial management-related data to senior Air Force decision-makers. This was accomplished by obtaining, analyzing, and reporting on financial and non-financial data in order to assess the health of the program. Presentation materials and reports were submitted to support HQ AFMC management requirements. Thom Tech personnel assisted the government in reviewing the DMAPS budget and financial systems processes. That required assisting them in establishing, implementing, maintaining, and updating ALC procedures to estimate, monitor, and report resources and budgets for the DMAPS programs. That was effectively accomplished since our personnel were fully aware of the systems and procedures applicable to both the before and after DMAPS implementation. Thom Tech participated in the development and update of the finance, material, and production segments of the functional business process model. That data model was built to reflect both the before and after scenarios of DMAPS and the impact it would have on the ALC daily operation. This was a joint effort between the government, contractor personnel in the program management office, and the vendor for the software required to support data transfers into and out of both the new and old suite of systems. Thom Tech participated in facilitation of change management through staff assistance visits (SAV) to the Air Logistic Centers. At these visits Thom Tech personnel addressed the changes in depot maintenance and financial business practices affecting production, material and financial specialties. Thom Tech personnel assisted the ALC Maintenance, Finance and Budget personnel in understanding the relationships between funding through the Capital Purchases Program, and related depot programs.
