The Woodlands Professional Firefighters Association (WPFFA) represents the line and dispatch personnel of The Woodlands Fire Department. The Woodlands Fire Department is made up of 36 full-time firefighters, 18 driver/operators, 15 Lieutenants, 3 Captains, and 3 Battalion Chiefs, making 75 shift personnel, protecting a growing population of over 80,000. There are also 3 Deputy Chiefs, and 1 fire chief, which work during business hours. The Woodlands Fire Department also staffs administrative personnel and 10 dispatchers to meet the needs of the community. We are staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, all year long, ready to respond at a moment's notice to calls for service. The Woodlands Fire Department provides fire protection, rescue and emergency medical services to address a variety of needs throughout the community.
