Since that beginning, the Olympic sport of dressage has seen a remarkable growth in San Antonio, the region and the nation. Alamo Dressage Association is organized under the federal 501C (3) code as a nonprofit corporation. It is composed of more than 160 members from the greater San Antonio area, including Boerne, Jourdanton, Kerrville, New Braunfels, Marion and Seguin, as well as Austin, the Coastal Bend and the Rio Grande Valley. The association sponsors educational seminars and two nationally sanctioned horse shows each year. It publishes a monthly newsletter, The Stall Street Journal, for members. The Stall Street Journal is available to members by mail or via this Web site. Alamo Dressage Association is a charter group member organization of the U.S. Dressage Federation and is recognized by U.S. Equestrian Federation. The association's main fund-raisers are its horse shows, which have attracted competitors from as far away as Monterrey, Mexico.
