Red Lion Hotels Corporation (RLH) is a hospitality and leisure company primarily engaged in the ownership, operation and franchising of midscale and upscale, full-service hotels under its Red Lion brand. As of December 31, 2007, the Company’s system of hotels contained 53 hotels located in eight states and one Canadian province, with 9,388 rooms and 472,529 square feet of meeting space. RLH operates in three segments: hotels, franchise and management, and entertainment. RLH’s hotels segment derives revenue primarily from guest room rentals and food and beverage operations at its owned and leased hotels. The Company’s franchise and management reporting segment is engaged primarily in licensing its brand to franchisees and managing hotels for third-party owners.
