Marifil Mines Limited is in the business of acquiring, exploring and evaluating mineral resource properties in Argentina. Marifil operates Argentina through a wholly owned subsidiary called Marifil S.A. As of February 28, 2008, Marifil controlled 46 properties totaling approximately 435,465 hectares located in 11 different provinces of Argentina. Marifil acquires properties through applications for mineral rights, purchasing properties, and joint ventures. The Company has a 100% interest in the Maipu properties located in Santa Cruz province Argentina, and 15 properties located in Rio Negro province Argentina. The Company has staked five properties in the Rio Negro province of Argentina. The Valle Daza project covers approximately 140 square kilometers located in La Pampa province, Argentina.(Source: ARS)
