Southern Software Inc. is a subchapter C corporation chartered in the state of North Carolina in 1988. The company's headquarters is located at 150 Perry Drive in Southern Pines, N.C. The company has fifty-one (51) experienced employee owners who are involved in providing the development, support services and sales of software products to primarily small and mid-sized municipalities and counties throughout the Southeast & Central United States. Our products are utilized by both municipal and public safety sectors. The company was founded on Citi-Pak, our municipal software that handles General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Utility Billing, Tax Billing, Payroll Processing, Cash Management, Vehicle Decal, Business License, & Fixed Assets. In 1994, a demand for a cost effective law enforcement records package led us to develop Police-Pak, a true 32-bit Windows application that provides for automated data submission compliant with State Police specifications. The Fletcher N.C. Police Department was the first agency to receive Police-Pak in August of 1996. It was not long before Sheriff's Offices began to request a similar product, hence the development of Sheriff-Pak. Other integrated products include Jail-Pak, a jail management software, HeRMAN, a human resources management software. With the success of Police-Pak, came a demand for a companion product for Computer Aided Dispatch. We enlisted the knowledge of Emergency Communications professionals and 911 experts, whose guidance has produced the most powerful, feature packed and cost effective CAD on the market. Southern Software prides itself in providing affordable, easy-to-use software suited to the Law Enforcement/Public Safety Community. When a needed feature or enhancement is identified, we work hard to develop and provide it free of charge to customers who are on support.
